True Righteousness
Jesus did not come to work around the law, but to perfectly obey and fulfill it. He obtained our eternal salvation in His fulfillment of the Law and Prophets. By grace through faith, we are made right with God. No amount of man-made effort will result in righteousness. To be righteous is to be right with God. Jesus fulfilled the whole law and now grants us His righteousness as a free gift. We pursue righteousness when we pursue the character of Christ and desire holiness more than fleshly indulgence. Join us this Sunday as we continue in our series, “The Kingdom Manifesto”, using God’s word in Matthew 5:17-20.
